Men's Pelvic Health Issues

Prostate related dysfunction

Prostate Cancer and consequently having your prostate removed is an extremely distressing time.

Unfortunately the removal of your prostate will often result in issues with incontinence. Fortunately for the majority of people your bladder control does improve with physiotherapy and time.

Ideally rehabilitation of the Pelvic Floor Muscles begins before the surgery and then recommences after the surgery has been completed.

It is very important to have post op physiotherapy to ensure the full rehabilitation of your pelvic floor control.

Chronic Pelvic Pain

Chronic pelvic pain in men is on the rise unfortunately. Even though the incidence of this is increasing many men don’t seek help, don’t know that there is help available to them and feel they just need to live with it. This is simply not the case. As with Pelvic pain in women, a fully trained pelvic health physio is able to help relieve the symptoms and alleviate your pelvic pain.
